Do you still need help?

I am a single mother with a beautiful 15 yr old downs syndrome princess. My ex refuses to support her and I am struggling. I put off a couple of bills to buy her school clothes and supplies and now I have to pay those bills but 2 months worth now I am facing having my Gas and electricty turned off soon. I have tried getting a loan but on a fixed income its almost impossible. My parents are on social security and they dont have the extra money to help. I have taken my ex to court for the 3rd time trying to get support but he refuses to pay. i am only short $150 and if anyone can help I can pay it back a little at a time. I am in desparate need.. my daughter is my life..

I am a single mom with two kids. My ex was abusive and I finally got the strength to leave him a year ago while I was pregnant with my second child. I am trying to go to school to get a better job to support my children, I do not get child support and I work three jobs and I barely get to see my kids. My oldest child is disabled so he must have multiple therapists and doctors. I am falling behind on my bills because all the jobs I have are only minimum wage. I am so close to finishing school but can not come up with the money I need this semester. If i do not get the money I get kicked out an put on academic probation. I am really trying to be a good mom. I tried to see if I could get help locally but no one will. I can not get a loan because my ex destroyed my credit. I need 3000 dollars in two week to pay for my classes and then in nine weeks (I am in the accelerated program) I need to pay it again. Three more sets and I will graduate. But as you can see from the price it is very draining. I have a 3.17 and I know if I can finish school I can get just one job and support both of my kids and actually see them more. Please help...  Any help would be appreciated. If you are willing pleasemessage me here and I will give you my paypal. I am willing to offer tutoring in exchange. I have a 3.17 and I think it will be higher once I get my grades from my last classes posted. My strong points are english composition, algebra, and most creative classes.

I just want you to know you aren't alone.  I too am struggling.  Though I can't donate to your cause.  I hope you get the help you need.

Single mother of 2 kids one which is disabled needs help with transpertation 2 get to childrens appointments and school to further my education ...so ,i can get a good job and support my family.

It has been the worst time of our lives, but we continue to be faithful in God's word and great promise.

Last year, I had lost my job while pregnant and our nestegg was used to keep our health insurance so we could at least have our baby.  Later, we find out that our older toddler is developmentally delayed.  We have been promised a diagnosis in 9 more months, though there has been references that he is autistic.  Yesterday, we have found out that his baby brother is also developmentally delayed and is also requiring treatment.  I have been looking for part time work to accomodate our child's 20 hours/week health appointments.  I have been blessed with work in babysitting and cleaning homes that allow me to bring my babies, however it is sporadic.  My poor husband has been working 70 hours/6 days per week.  Previous marriage have left us in debt and our credit ruined, but with our current financial priorities, we've defaulted on our counseling program and collection agencies call everyday .  We have just been given notice that our rental home will be sold, after years of never being late on our rent payment and tending to this house as if it was our own.

Thank you God for bringing peace in my heart for the times after my husband and I exasperate, fight and cry.  Thank you for the smiles my babies manage despite the gravity of our situation.  Thank you God, for reminding me that you only give us what we can handle.

Today I pray that you help me put the pieces back together of my broken heart.  I pray for your forgiveness, as I am in this moment weak, frightened and seeking desperately for help.  I pray that you will provide the direction to help us find a new home for our family.

We are a family of 5 living in Mesquite, Texas.  My 14 year old has Down Syndrome, is legally blind, and is facing other medical problems, which may include surgery very soon. My husband just had hernia surgery, and within 2 weeks he and my son contracted contact dermatitis that would not go away for almost 3 weeks, and that required numerous doctors visits and prescriptions for them both, and my husband still has it. And to top things off, just two weeks ago I fell and broke my ankle, and am waiting to find out if I will need surgery. We have gone through what little savings we had, and now cannot make our monthly payments. The electric company refuses to work with us, and every place we have turned have said that they do not have the funds to help.

Could someone please point us toward an organization that we might not have heard of yet, or develop some pledge program? My husband is a social worker, and I am a medical assistant, and have done social work, and finding help for others is definitely easier than finding it for yourself. One thing we keep hearing is we don't qualify because we have medical insurance since my husband is a STATE EMPLOYEE and it is required! SO WHAT!!! We have $1000 deductible per person for each of these major medical events, and co-insurance that is so unbelievable for ER and all of the specialists! Plus none of our RXs have been in the cheap range, since my kids are allergic to everything!

My husband and I don't ever have much money, but we both donate our time, and find resources to help others when we can. I write grants for my kids' PTA, and draw in donations for their school, but this is personal, and these places can't give to individuals.

We have a disabled child.  He is six years old with Cerebral Palsy.  We are searching for grants/funding to do some modification to our home to accomodate his disAbility.  We are looking to install handicap accessible bathroom facilities, widen the 30" doorways to accomodate his new power wheelchair, install new windows, (ours are 26" wide, a safety hazard as they are not large enough to lift him through at his current age and size) install a ramp and deck where he can easily transfer himself into the house with some assistance, among other things.  Can you PLEASE direct me to someone or some programs that can help with these huge expenses???   Are there private organizations that will help us?  We live in Illinois, if that helps any!!
